The Region : Transit Coalition Chairman
The Tri-City Transportation Coalition, organized last year by business and community leaders from Pasadena, Glendale and Burbank, has selected Burbank Mayor Thomas E. Flavin as its new chairman.
Pasadena City Director Kathyrn Nack was chosen as vice chair and Glendale Councilman Carl Raggio as secretary-treasurer.
In addition, at a recent meeting the 21-member coalition--set up to attack transportation problems common to the three cities--endorsed Proposition C. The Los Angeles County ballot measure, if passed, would enact a half-cent sales tax to be used for transit needs. Coalition members said the money would help speed development of the Pasadena to Los Angeles light-rail line.
