Music and Comedy
Actor Dudley Moore will entertain with music and comedy in a special benefit performance at 4 p.m. Sunday in the University Theatre at Cal State Long Beach. Moore is appearing at the invitation of pianist and faculty member Edith Hirshtal, and will perform some two-piano duets and four-hand piano selections with Hirshtal, in addition to a solo music and comedy set.
Other performers Sunday will include students of the Cal State Long Beach piano program and vocalist Scott Watanabe, a former student and music faculty member. The benefit concert will help raise funds to replace two Steinway pianos lost in the July 2 roof collapse of the university’s Gerald R. Daniel Recital Hall.
