My pick of Hajasala in the fifth on Friday proved to be opportune as it returned a profit of $135 on the $25 win and place bet. Today, I’m betting $50 to win and place on What a Spell, a What Luck-Spell Victory horse, in the third. This should show that it not only takes good handicapping to win but sometimes it takes luck to spell victory.

SURELOCK’s bet Friday on Comical in the seventh proved to be tragic as the horse finished sixth in a six-horse field. Today, he will bet $40 to win and place on Flame McGoon and a $10 exacta box, Flame McGoon-Tempted Queen-Fraulein Maria.
