Environmental Impact Report Released: The final report, released by the state Public Utilities Commission as part of its ongoing review of Southern California Edison’s proposed merger with San Diego Gas & Electric concludes that many “potential environmental impacts can be mitigated and some (possible impacts) would not require mitigation,” according to PUC spokeswoman Dianne Dienstein. The final report incorporates merger-related pollution mitigation plans adopted by air quality management districts in Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernardino counties, which have conducted their own merger reviews.
