Mutual Fund Levels Break Record: Assets of the nation’s 524 money market mutual funds rose $6.36 billion in the latest week to an all-time high as investors reacted to a lower interest rate target by the Federal Reserve, the Investment Company Institute said. The rise, to $423.52 billion in the six-day period ended Tuesday, broke the record of $418.33 billion set in the week of Nov. 7. The most recent period was shortened by the Thanksgiving holiday.
