HUNTINGTON BEACH : Four Armed Men Rob Jewelry Store
Four armed men stole an estimated $100,000 to $300,000 worth of precious stones and other valuables from a jewelry store on Wednesday after tying up the store’s owner and an employee, police said.
The robbery occurred about 7 p.m. when the men entered Diamond Obsession, a store on the 6900 block of Warner Avenue, and posed as customers.
At least one of the robbers pulled out a handgun and forced the store owner to unlock the display cases and open a safe, police said. The owner and an employee were then ordered to a back room, where the robbers tied them up.
After ransacking the store for about five minutes, the robbers fled with rings, gold and loose-cut diamonds, police said.
The owner and the employee freed each other and called police. No description of the four robbers was available.
