MCA Sale Challenged: Alleging antitrust violations, Go-Video Inc. has filed suit against Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.’s $6.59-billion acquisition of MCA Inc. Go-Video, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based manufacturer of a unique dual-deck VCR, charged that Matsushita and Sony Corp., owner of Columbia Pictures Entertainment, have conspired to monopolize the consumer electronics hardware market by buying up entertainment “software.” The two companies had no comment.
