VENTURA : Dispute Over VCR Ends in Stabbing
A 30-year-old Ventura man was stabbed Monday after he had an argument with another man over the price of a videocassette recorder, police said.
Gothan Palestine (Tiny) Moore was in stable condition in the intensive care unit of the Ventura County Medical Center with a stab wound to the left side of his abdomen, police said.
Police arrested Carlos Gonzalez, 33, of Ventura on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police Sgt. Roger Nustad said Moore and Gonzalez argued about the price of a VCR that Moore was buying from Gonzalez about 2:40 a.m. The dispute escalated and Gonzalez allegedly stabbed Moore at the house where Moore was staying on Bell Way, Nustad said.
