Compton Cruises to Easy Victory Over Harbor, 112-83
Steve Logan, the state’s leading community college scorer, scored 40 points to lead Compton College over host Harbor College, 112-83, in a Southern California Athletic Conference game.
It did not take long for Logan and the Tartars (15-6 overall, 3-0 in league play) to get going. Compton jumped out to 37-24 lead midway through the first half.
After leading at halftime, 53-36, the Tartars went on a 17-4 run to take a commanding 65-40 lead.
Chris Mijanovic led the Seahawks (8-13, 1-2) in scoring with 26 points. Brent Woods scored 11 points and Paul Snow and Jon Zaletel each had 10.
Wun Versher added 23 and Kasey Brown had 17 for the Tartars.
