Holyfield Signs Deal With Coke: Heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield has signed a six-year contract with the Coca-Cola Co., putting him in Coke’s corner for advertisements, promotional appearances and corporate philanthropic efforts. The deal between Coke and Holyfield, who both call Atlanta home, had been expected. An earlier contract, in which Holyfield endorsed Coke’s rival Pepsi-Cola locally, expired when he won the title in October. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. The new contract calls for Holyfield to appear in Coca-Cola advertising, make personal appearances for the company and join in Coke programs to support educational initiatives and scholarship programs.
