U.S. Dependents Urged to Leave North Africa

ALGIERS — The United States has urged its diplomatic missions in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco to evacuate non-essential personnel and dependants because of security risks stemming from the Persian Gulf crisis.
An embasssy official in Algiers said Thursday that many of those concerned plan to leave although the recommendation was not obligatory.
