Looming War in Mideast

In the Bible it is written, “The children of this world are wiser in their own generation than the children of light” (Luke 16:8). Translation: Secularly minded men and women often possess a wisdom that seems to elude the religiously minded.

This is clearly illustrated in the headlong pursuit by the clergy of all descriptions and denominations--the pursuit of peace at any price in the Persian Gulf.

The vision of secularly minded people that there is before us a unique opportunity to establish a world order in which nations large and small can be secure in their borders--this vision has completely escaped today’s “children of light.”
