Shooting of Attorney Believed Drug-Related
A Los Angeles attorney was fatally wounded in his car in a notorious crack-cocaine sales area early Friday, according to police, who said they believed the shooting was drug-related.
Patrick Faltico, 56, who practiced law from his Beverly Glen Boulevard residence, was shot several times, according to police, who said he was found alone in his car after it apparently caromed off a parked vehicle and came to a stop on a residential lawn in the 2900 block of South Burnside Avenue at 3:25 a.m.
Detective Dan Andrews of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division homicide unit said a small amount of rock cocaine and drug paraphernalia were found in the car, and that someone else may have been in the car at the time of the shooting.
