Man, 32, Arrested in Stabbing Death
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder early Saturday after he allegedly stabbed another man to death during an argument outside a Granada Hills house, Los Angeles police said.
Walter Wayne Kelley of Granada Hills was being held without bail at the Devonshire station jail, Officer Greg Cannon said.
The name of the victim, a white male about 35, was withheld until relatives could be notified.
Officers were summoned about 2:30 a.m. to a house in the 10900 block of Gothic Avenue, Cannon said.
When they arrived, they saw a man lying on the sidewalk in front of the house.
The victim, who had been stabbed at least once in the upper torso, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, where he was pronounced dead, Cannon said.
Witnesses told police the two men had quarreled before the stabbing.
Police did not know the cause of the dispute, Cannon said.
