PLACENTIA : New Police Chief to Meet With Residents
New Police Chief Manuel Ortega will hold a series of neighborhood meetings in the next month to address concerns about crime. The meetings, to be held from 7 to 9 p.m., will give residents a chance to ask Ortega questions about the Police Department.
Meetings will be held tonight at the Edwin T. Powell building, 143 S. Bradford Ave.; on Thursday at the Whitten Center, 900 S. Melrose St.; on Jan. 28 at the Gomez Center, 1701 Atwood Ave.; on Jan. 30 at Morse Avenue Elementary School, 431 E. Morse Ave.; on Jan. 31 at Brookhaven Elementary School, 1851 N. Brookhaven Ave.; and on Feb. 4 at Parque De Los Vaqueros Recreation Center, 1200 N. Carlsbad St.
Child care will be available.
