Police Arrest Man in Hit-and-Run Death
Escondido police arrested a 25-year-old man Sunday who they believe was involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian last month.
Police said William Arthur Duggan of Escondido was driving the car that struck Selvestre Ramales-Vasquez, 23, also of Escondido, as he crossed Quince Street at 10:02 p.m. Dec. 28. Vasquez was pronounced dead 30 minutes later at Palomar Medical Center.
Duggan was charged with felony hit-and-run and was booked into County Jail at Vista.
