The Ventura County Environmental Health Department temporarily closed three restaurants in December, according to records obtained Tuesday.
The operating permit of Elgret’s Sub Shop on East Hueneme Road in Port Hueneme was suspended Dec. 18 due to repeated violations, according to health department reports.

The two other restaurants have undergone repairs and are back in operation, officials said.
Johnny P’s on Westlake Boulevard in Westlake was closed Dec. 3 because of inoperable refrigeration.
