Gary Mandinach Elected President of Local ACLU
Gary Mandinach, a board member of the Los Angeles-based American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California since 1981, has been elected board president for a one-year term.
He replaces outgoing president Eve Triffo, who served as president for three consecutive terms.
Mandinach is head of the appellate department of the Alternate Defense Council and specializes in criminal law.
He became a member of the ACLU in 1978, and was president of the Palm Springs chapter in 1979.
