Landlords’ Registration Fees Due on Feb. 28
Rental property owners in the city of Los Angeles are required by the Rent Stabilization Ordinance to register their properties each year before collecting rents. The registration fee is $14 per unit and is considered delinquent after Feb. 28. Landlords who fail to register their properties will be assessed late fees of $14 per unit. An additional penalty of $28 per unit will be charged if the department is forced to notify the landlord of the delinquency.
Landlords who have not received their registration renewal notice should contact the Rent Stabilization Division at (213) 485-7173.
