Gregg Kelly has been appointed president of Orthodyne Electronics, a Costa Mesa maker of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. He succeeds Mike Smith, who is retiring from the company’s day-to-day operations but will continue as chairman. Kelly has been with Orthodyne for more than 11 years, serving most recently as vice president of sales and marketing. In addition, Vartan Babayan has been appointed vice president of engineering. He was formerly engineering manager.
