San Diego
A 19-year-old Logan Heights man was shot and killed early Monday in what San Diego police believe was a gang-related shooting.
Jose Alberto Vasquez was shot once in the chest and leg at 12:30 a.m. as he walked near his home, Sgt. Fred England said.
Police said several people inside a car fired several shots at Vasquez, two of which hit him, he said.
The shooting took place near Vasquez’s home in the 3000 block of Martin Avenue. He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he died at 7:23 a.m., the coroner’s office said.
No arrests have been made.
