Controversy Over Protests
Bush chose war instead of discussing another moral question--the brutal repression of Palestinians in territory invaded by Israel. Now we are told, “Get behind the President.” That is the equivalent of asking the “good Germans” to support Hitler.
The peace movement may bring peace one day sooner so that the men and women destined to die the next day will live instead.
