Suzuki, the Japanese auto maker, has donated 10 vehicles to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy in return for being endorsed as “the official car company” of the conservancy.

Conservancy officials said that six Suzuki sport utility vehicles and four cars will be used by rangers who patrol its more than 15,000 acres of mountain parklands.

The conservancy, headquartered in Malibu, is a state agency formed in 1980 to acquire and preserve parkland in the Santa Monica Mountains.
