Does Hunting Belong on the Sports Page?

Until animals learn how to use firearms, hunting will not be a sport. I am quite certain that the vast majority of your sports page readers would prefer not to have the shooting of bears and mountain lions on the same pages as the shooting of baskets and goals.

Most newspapers go along the same traditional lines: news section in front, horoscopes on the same pages as comics, and, unfortunately, hunting reports along with the sporting news. Considering that Los Angeles prides itself on being such a progressive city, its newspapers should be a progressive one.
