Intermediate School Principal Named
Michael Escalante, the current principal at Rolling Hills High School, has been named the top administrator at the new Palos Verdes Intermediate School.
Escalante’s move is part of a reorganization plan in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, which involves closing two of the district’s three high schools and establishing a large high school at the Rolling Hills campus.
The plan also calls for the district’s two existing intermediate schools to be moved to the former high school sites, Palos Verdes and Miraleste.
Escalante came to Rolling Hills High School in 1989. He previously was an assistant principal at Santa Monica and Hawthorne high schools.
