Life Chain Coverage Criticized
I cannot sit idly by without addressing the inaccurate and biased reporting on the Life Chain pro-life event that took place on Jan. 20.
Inevitably, when reporting the participation in pro-life events, they are deemed to “fall short” of organizers’ predictions. I won’t argue that point because apparently neither I nor your “estimators” are qualified in that area. I did hear from other media sources that the organizers’ goal for participation had been met.
Additionally, to set the record in order, the shape the participants made was a cross, as in Jesus, as in churches. It was an intended connection. Please talk to our city founders if the intersection is not precisely ninety degrees. Pre-rally press releases made it crystal clear what the intent had been.
I applaud the right we have in this country to express different views. I also believe that accuracy, objectivity and the truth will give its citizens the tools needed to help keep it that way. That should be your higher goal.
