COSTA MESA : Workshop to Teach Finances to Women
A three-hour workshop taught by an investment expert will be held next month at Orange Coast College to help women learn about finances and plan for financial independence.
Diane Wood, a certified financial planner who has her own consulting firm, will teach the workshop on Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 207 of the Lewis Center for Applied Science.
Wood founded Women’s Investors Network and makes guest appearances on radio and television to discuss money management.
The workshop will teach women from any economic level how to assess their financial situation, set and achieve financial goals, and start and maintain a savings and investment program.
Registration is under way at the Community Service Office in the college’s Student Center Building.
The fee is $21.
