* Deja Vu: Donald Trump will be face to face with his past and his present at a couple of upcoming social functions. Today he is scheduled to join his close friend Marla Maples at an Atlanta nightclub where she will host a fund-raiser for Childkind, a charity for youngsters with AIDS. On April 9, he and his ex-wife, Ivana, are due to be at the Plaza Hotel, which Donald owns and Ivana operates, at a party for one of their employees.

* Super Party: New Jersey Gov. Jim Florio threw a Super Bowl bash for 1,300 servicemen and women, military families and veterans Sunday at the Giants’ home in the Meadowlands. While the crowd watched the Giants beat the Bills on banks of overhead televisions, Florio said: “These are tense times, particularly for everybody here.” But 60 of the expected guests did not make the party: They had been shipped out to Saudi Arabia earlier in the day.

* Silent Jane: Jane Fonda’s anti-war activity was prominent in the media during the Vietnam War, but she’s keeping quiet about the fighting in the Persian Gulf. “What she’s doing is she’s watching television every night like everyone else,” a Fonda spokeswoman said. “She’s just hoping and praying it will be over soon.” Presumably she’s watching Cable News Network, which is owned by her fiance, Ted Turner.

* Carnival, Yes, Pele, No: Brazilian athlete Pele, who usually dances in the streets at Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, will miss this year celebration. Pele, soccer’s answer to Babe Ruth, will be too busy for the festival next month: He will be winging to Uruguay to get a women’s team from his country into shape for a showdown tournament.
