South El Monte : Club’s License Renewed
After a month’s delay, the City Council has approved the renewal of a food and alcohol sales license for Joe & Aldo’s Club, 1935 N. Durfee Ave.
The license was delayed after Sheriff’s Department representatives told the council about incidents at the club and in the parking area it shares with El Leon Del Mar, another restaurant, involving drugs, car thefts and weapons violations.
Attorneys for Joe & Aldo’s said the club will have two security guards on the lot from 5 p.m. until closing every night and will notify the council within 72 hours and explain any incident to which deputies are called.
The conditions also were placed on El Leon Del Mar when that license was renewed last month.
