U.S. military personnel and equipment continue flowing into Saudi Arabia by air and sea, unhampered by war or oil slick: * More than 200 ships have moved 4.68 million “measurement tons,” or 187 million cubic feet of cargo, as of Jan. 25.
* The airlift has brought in 393,000 tons of equipment and 422,000 “passengers”--mostly troops--flying 3.15 billion ton-miles (tons moved multiplied by the distance.)
