Turkish Official Slain by Kurds and Marxists

ANKARA, Turkey — The chief adviser to the prime minister’s office was shot to death Wednesday, and a letter found nearby claimed responsibility for groups involved in recent acts of terrorism, officials reported.
Police said three assailants fired five shots, fatally wounding retired Lt. Gen. Hulusi Sayin, 64.
