Conferences on Future of Realty Market
Top real estate experts will take part in two conferences on the nation’s real estate market March 12 in Beverly Hills and March 14 in Orange County.
Martha R. Seger will be keynote speaker for the March 12 conference, to be held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Seger is one of the Federal Reserve System’s governors.
The March 14 conference will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Irvine.
Sanford Goodkin, executive director of KPMG Peat Marwick/Goodkin Real Estate Group, and Stan Ross, managing partner of Kenneth Leventhal & Co., are scheduled to speak at both events.
Experts scheduled to talk about the economy at one or both conferences are Jack Kyser, chief economist of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce; Austin Anderson, president of Economic Research Associates; and Rocky Tarantello, Tarantello & Associates.
Those talking about future opportunities in investment real estate will include Steven Corkin, principal of Aldrich, Eastman & Waltch; Sylvia Missirlian, TCW Realty Advisors; James G. Shaw, Haseko (California) Inc., and Michael Welborn, Prudential Real Estate Advisors.
A panel on development will include Richard Cannon, president of Watson Land Co.; Elizabeth Harrison, Catellus Development; John Miller, Lincoln Property Co., and Arthur Pearlman, Riley/Pearlman. Other panels will explore trends in real estate financing, successful property management and marketing.
The seminars are co-sponsored by the Apartment Assn. of Orange County and several newspapers. Attendees are eligible for nine hours of continuing-education credit from the Department of Real Estate.
