BestFellas: “GoodFellas” and Martin Scorsese have scored another first with the nation’s critics, topping the lists of best picture and best director of 1990 in a national poll of newspaper, magazine and TV film critics conducted for its April issue by American Film magazine. Most major critics organizations had already voted awards for “GoodFellas” and its director. Jeremy Irons (“Reversal of Fortune”) ranked first in the survey among actors, while Anjelica Huston (for both “Witches” and “The Grifters”) led the list of best actresses. On the other end of the good/bad scale, Brian De Palma’s “Bonfire of the Vanities” got the most votes as the worst film of the year.
