Giants Offer Free Passes to Gulf GIs’ Kin
SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco Giants owner Bob Lurie said today families of Northern California military personnel serving in the Persian Gulf may attend any 1991 Giants game free.
“This is our way of demonstrating both the Giants’ support for our troops in the Middle East and our concern for their families remaining behind in our community,” Lurie said.
The Giants announced that wives, husbands, children under 18 and parents of men and women from Northern California serving in Operation Desert Storm are included in the program, to remain in effect through the regular season. The club will issue ID cards to GIs’ families.
