San Diego
Police are searching for a man who assaulted a 16-year-old high school student Monday night on her way home from school, authorities said.
The Kearny Mesa High School girl was walking in the 3500 block of Ruffin Road shortly before 9 p.m. when a man with a knife grabbed her, said San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson.
The man tore her blouse and cut her face and chest before running away, Robinson said. The girl was not seriously injured.
The man was described as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-10-inches tall with a muscular build and weighing about 180 pounds, Robinson said. He was wearing blue sweat pants, a white sweat shirt, black gloves and a fanny pack.
