$65,000 House Fire Blamed on Children
Afire started by children playing with matches caused $65,000 worth of damage to a Sun Valley house Wednesday and displaced 12 residents, Los Angeles City fire officials said.
The blaze started about 3:30 p.m. in a house in the 11000 block of Cantara Street and was put out 20 minutes later, said Jim Wells, spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
There were no injuries.
