Ramona 72, Escondido 57--Ramona got 20 points from Travis Knight and 17 more from Clint Cook to stay atop the league standings at 14-5, 9-2. for Escondido (4-14, 2-9) Mike Frank scored 15 points and also had 15 rebounds.

San Marcos 58, Rancho Bernardo 52--Jason Abraham six rebounds, Eric Wilburn passed for eight assists and Evan Osmundson scored 19 points to lead San Marcos (6-13, 3-8). Rancho Bernardo fell to 3-16, 1-10.

Metro Conference

Montgomery 52, Southwest 65--Roger Galang led second-place Southwest (12-5, 10-2) with 18 points and Leslie Shaw led Montgomery (8-13, 5-7) with 16.

Hilltop 58, Bonita Vista 54--Chris White scored 20 points to lead Hilltop (11-13, 5-7) to an upset over Bonita Vista (13-7, 7-5).

Sweetwater 104, Castle Park 71--Pateros Woodson had four three-pointers toward his 20 points for No. 4 Sweetwater (20-4, 11-1). Nathan Pearson had eight rebounds in addition to his eight points for Sweetwater.

Palomar League

Poway 91, Mt. Carmel 65--No. 2 Poway led 9-8 when it scored eight consecutive points to begin the rout. The Titans led by 19 points in the second and 28 points in the third. Their biggest lead was a 30-point spread to open the fourth quarter. Matt Fletcher, who scored 14 points for Poway, went five of seven from the field in the first quarter. Poway (14-5, 8-3)shot 36 of 63 in the game. Mt. Carmel (16-6, 6-5) made seven turnovers in the second quarter and 13 in the first half.

Rancho Buena Vista 73, San Dieguito 61--These were two of the five Palomar League teams tied for second place at 6-4 going in to Wednesday night’s games. Daryl Parker scored 26 and teammate Brad Grubaugh added 25 to make sure RBV (12-10, 7-4) remains at least tied for second. San Dieguito fell to 13-9 overall.

Fallbrook 83, Vista 78--Vista held Chris Miller to just 14. Bob Nolan led Fallbrook (14-9, 7-4) with 24 points. Jason Barnes, who has been averaging 19 points a game, led Vista (8-1, 4-7) with 24.

Torrey Pines 50, Orange Glen 40--Scot Pollard and Craig Brown each scored 14 points for Torrey Pines (7-4, 17-7). Orange Glen dropped to 0-11, 0-18.
