DGA Announces Nominees for TV Work : Television: Emmy winner Scott Winant heads the list for work on a drama series. Winners in eight categories will be announced March 16.
Scott Winant, who won an Emmy last September for his directing work on “thirtysomething,” was among the nominees announced Friday by the Directors Guild of America for outstanding directorial achievement in television for 1990.
Winant was nominated for the same episode that won him the Emmy. Also nominated in the category for prime-time dramatic series were Lesli Linka Glatter for an episode of “Twin Peaks” and Michael Zinberg for an installment of “Quantum Leap.”
The winners in eight television categories, including commercials, daytime dramatic shows, documentaries, sports and musical/variety, will be announced at the DGA’s 43rd annual awards dinner March 16.
