LOCAL : Lotto Jackpot May Hit $9 Million

The jackpot for Wednesday’s “Lotto 6-53” drawing could reach $9 million, because no one chose all six numbers over the weekend, California Lottery officials said today.

There were two tickets with five of six numbers plus the bonus. Each ticket is worth $271,876, splitting a prize pool of $543,753. The tickets were bought in Santa Ana and Eureka.

Sixty-six tickets had five of six numbers, each winning $8,238; 5,646 tickets had four of six numbers to win $87 apiece, and 121,799 tickets had three of six numbers, each worth an automatic $5.
