Image Entertainment’s Quarterly Income Falls

Image Entertainment Inc., a Chatsworth distributor of laser disc video recordings, said its net income for the three months that ended Dec. 31 fell 69% to $34,334 from $109,882. Revenues for the period increased 76% to $13.8 million from $7.83 million a year before.

For the nine months that ended Dec. 31, Image reported a loss of $478,382, compared with a loss of $203,687 a year before, while revenue climbed 81% to $33.5 million from $18.5 million a year ago. Image also said it sold $3.83 million in assets related to its distribution of adult programming.
