RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA : Officers Ask Help in Rape Investigation
Sheriff’s Department investigators are asking the public’s help in finding a man who raped a 47-year-old Rancho Santa Margarita woman during the weekend.
According to Lt. Bob Rivas, the man forced his way into the woman’s condominium last Friday by prying open an upstairs window. When the victim returned home, he attacked her. She was tied and sexually assaulted, Rivas said. The man then fled on foot.
Investigators believe that the man is a white male, about 6 feet tall with dark brown hair and a mustache. He is possibly a bodybuilder or involved in heavy work, Rivas said.
