Robert Morris Appeal Denied

PITTSBURGH —
The NCAA on Tuesday denied Robert Morris College’s appeal of penalties against its men’s basketball program, upholding the Colonials’ ban from the Northeast Conference tournament.
Robert Morris was put on probation last May for two years, fined $88,000 and banned from live TV this season. Two grants-in-aid were taken away.
The college sought a reduced fine and permission to play in postseason tournaments after the NCAA reversed a ruling that barred UNLV from defending its national championship.
