Sunrider to Open New Southland Plant: Sunrider International Corp. is closing down its Orem, Utah, operations, laying off 150 workers and moving to a new plant in the City of Industry, company officials said. The new plant has more advanced technology that makes production of the firm’s health-food line easier and more efficient. Torrance-based Sunrider has been in Utah since 1982.
