Top Seed Jordan to Clash With Don Lugo
Moore League champion Jordan High School, the top-seeded boys team in Division I-AA with an 18-6 record, will play host to Don Lugo (9-15) Friday night at 7:30 in the first round of the Southern Section playoffs.
In other I-AA basketball games, Millikan (20-4) will be at home against Santa Monica (9-13), Schurr (10-9) will play at Glendale (13-11), Bell Gardens (15-8) will host Lakewood (14-12), Poly (20-6) will host El Monte (12-12), Paramount (10-11) will be at Alhambra (20-3) and Lynwood will be at Rowland (10-5).
Lynwood is 4-21 after having to forfeit 16 victories for using an ineligible player.

In girls basketball, Lynwood, Lakewood, Millikan, Gahr, Glenn, Pius X, Whitney and Bell Gardens appear to be the best area teams going into the playoffs.
In Division I-AA games Saturday night, Lynwood (21-3) will play host to the winner of Wednesday night’s Perris-Alhambra game, and Lakewood (23-1) will be at home against Wednesday night’s winner between Santa Ana Valley and Santa Monica.
Bell Gardens (15-7) will be at Millikan (15-9).
In II-AA, Gahr (24-2) will be at home against the winner of Wednesday night’s game between Ramona and Riverside Poly, and in II-A, Glenn (20-4) will host either Norte Vista or Garden Grove.
