10 New Palms for Hermosa Avenue
The Hermosa Beach City Council Tuesday night accepted a donation of 10 Mexican fan palm trees costing about $700 apiece from the Chamber of Commerce’s Downtown Revitalization Committee. The group is launching a fund-raising drive to raise money for 30 additional trees.
The palm trees will be planted in the center median along Hermosa Avenue between 10th and 14th streets. Trees already growing in the median will be moved elsewhere in the city.
