Gulf on the VCR: Coming soon for Persian Gulf news junkies who can’t get enough of the war: the CNN home video. Turner Broadcasting System Inc., the parent firm of CNN, said that its home video unit will release “Operation Desert Storm: The War Begins” in early March, featuring an historical overview of the Middle East as well as footage from the network’s war coverage. The tape, narrated by CNN anchor Bernard Shaw, will sell for $14.98. . . . PBS also will release a video about the war, but this one focuses on answering children’s questions. “Kids Ask About War” is due out March 7. To make the video more accessible, PBS is offering it free to video stores, who will offer it to customers free of rental charges. To locate dealers stocking the video, call (800) 776-8300. The program, already broadcast on PBS, will sell for $5.95.
