Don Stoops has been appointed executive vice president of operations for Del Taco Inc., the Costa Mesa-based operator of Del Taco and Naugles restaurants. Stoops was previously regional vice president and general manager for the mid-Atlantic region of Burger King USA. During his 22 years with Burger King, he also served as group director of research and development in Miami, as director of restaurant development and as director of operations services.

Del Taco also named Paul W. Hitzelberger executive vice president, marketing and corporate secretary, and Harold Fox, executive vice president and chief financial officer. Both were vice presidents.
