A Carl’s Jr. licensee with the franchise rights to restaurants in Mexico will open 15 of the fast-food restaurants in the northern part of the country in the next 15 years, a spokesman for Anaheim-based Carl Karcher Enterprises said. Valores Metalicos, based in Monterrey, Mexico, will start with restaurants in the northern states of Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas and Coahuila, creating 600 jobs in the next five years.
Carl Karcher Enterprises, owner of the 584-store chain, will invest $15 million in the Mexican operations in the next five years, the Mexican newspaper El Norte reported.
