Greg Yumbar scored a game-high 26 points to lead Saugus High to a 48-44 upset over Cajon in a Southern Section I-A Division second-round playoff game Tuesday night at Saugus. Cajon (22-5), the San Andreas League champion, is the No. 2-seeded team in the division.

Saugus (19-9), which tied for third in the Golden League, used a patient, patterned offense to lead throughout the game, including a 19-14 advantage at halftime. The Centurions built a 42-32 lead with 3 minutes 30 seconds to play, then slowed the pace even more.

Saugus denied Cajon’s inside game and forced the Cowboys to shoot outside. Cajon was not successful from the field in the first half, making just four of 17 (23.5%). Saugus made eight of 20 shots in the first half and eight of 13 in the second.
