Japanese Manufacturing Investment Off in U.S.: The Conference Board said last year’s sharp decline is likely to continue in 1991. Last year, it said, Japanese firms reported 148 investments in U.S. manufacturing last year, falling from 192 in 1989. The Conference Board is a New York-based business research firm.
